This page was created to share images and information about my small ethnographic collection. I collect vintage traditional folk wear/costumes, and folk textiles from Romania. This beautiful early XXth century costume mirrors the one from the next photo where Ana Blada (b1882) from Salistea/Cioara, Alba was wearing something very similar.
The waistcoat was found in Alba region, Romania, and the peasant blouse was found in the United States. It belonged to Mary Ittu(b 1887 in Voila Brasov) and passed down to her great-grand daughter Nicole.
